Vicki Bixel is the Chief Executive Officer of Sobel Bixel: Consulting for Nonprofits following twenty-one years with Semple Bixel Associates, Inc., a nonprofit fundraising management consulting firm founded in 1976.  Vicki became President of Semple Bixel Associates, Inc. in 2005 and merged the firm with Jeffrey Sobel Consulting in 2021.

 

Born and raised in a family who believes in the practice of serving others, Vicki explored teaching and musical theater prior to joining the family business. During her time with Semple Bixel, she worked purposefully and aggressively to adhere to the firm’s philosophy of educating non-profits while working hand in hand with clients to evolve with the changing landscape of the philanthropic environment.

 

As the CEO of Sobel Bixel: Consulting for Nonprofits, Vicki brings a hands-on approach to all of the firm’s services and operations, working directly with the Sobel Bixel team to support and provide strategic counsel for client activities.

 

She has partnered with a multitude of nonprofit organizations, successfully guiding them toward multi-million-dollar goals and assisting them to strengthen their missions while establishing and realizing their visions.

 

Vicki is a high-profile expert in the nonprofit arena. As a keynote speaker for conferences, Vicki is recognized for her knowledge of the ever-changing philanthropic supported community. Her speaking engagements include leadership development seminars, workshops and webinars, as well as educational presentations at nonprofit and corporate conferences. She has been a guest lecturer at Rutgers University and Seton Hall University and is regularly quoted in the media regarding philanthropy and fundraising.

 

In 2016, Vicki received the Association of Fundraising Professionals New Jersey Excellence in Consulting Award and in 2013 she was recognized as a Woman of Influence in New Jersey by the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ). 

 

Vicki serves as a member of The Citizen’s Campaign Board of Directors, Metuchen, New Jersey, a member of the Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, New Jersey, (AFP-NJ), and a member of the Board of Trustees of Mount Saint Mary Academy, Watchung, New Jersey. A graduate of Montclair State University, Vicki was raised in Plainfield and resides in West Orange, New Jersey.
